GENERAL MEDICINE

The first two years of medical studies are focused on theoretical subjects such as biology, biophysics, anatomy, histology, physiology, and biochemistry.

In the third and part of the fourth year, preclinical subjects are studied, including Pathological Anatomy, Pathological Physiology, Microbiology, Pharmacology, and the commencement of clinical education.

The higher academic years are entirely dedicated to clinical disciplines. During the 6th year, students undergo internships within a block schedule framework in hospitals across the regions of Plzeň, South Bohemia, and North Bohemia.

DENTISTRY

Students are educated not only for the practice of medical professions but are also introduced to the fundamentals of scientific work and guided towards independent scientific research. Throughout their studies, especially during summer breaks, many students have the opportunity to participate in study stays and internships abroad.

Students learn about dental hygiene, periodontology, endodontology, orthodontics, and other fields related to dentistry. Practical skills are developed through teaching and internships in dental clinics and specialized departments. The training focuses on comprehensive treatment of dental and oral issues, including their prevention and associated diseases.
